Terms of Use

ChurchLingual · Last updated June 30, 2026

The short version. ChurchLingual provides real-time translation and captions for meetings. Use it lawfully and with the consent of those being translated. Paid plans renew until cancelled. We provide the service "as is" and aren't liable for translation errors. You can cancel or delete your account anytime.

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the ChurchLingual applications, website, and services (the "Service"). By using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.

1. The Service

ChurchLingual captures spoken audio and produces live captions and translations that others can read or listen to. Translation is performed by automated systems and may contain errors; it is an aid, not a substitute for a professional human interpreter.

2. Eligibility & accounts

You must be able to form a binding contract to use paid features. Some features require an account; you're responsible for your account credentials and for activity under your account. Keep your information accurate.

3. Acceptable use & consent

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and to obtain any consent required by law before capturing, translating, or sharing other people's speech. You will not misuse the Service, attempt to disrupt it, infringe others' rights, or use it to transmit unlawful, harassing, or infringing content.

4. Audio & privacy

Audio is processed to create captions and is not sold. On the iPhone app's free mode, processing happens on your device; cloud features process audio on our providers' servers to improve accuracy. See our Privacy Policy for details.

5. Plans, billing & renewals

6. Cancellation & account deletion

You may cancel a subscription at any time (in your Apple Account settings for app purchases, or your account's billing settings on the web). You may delete your account from within the app (Settings → Delete account) or by contacting us; deleting your account removes your account data and cancels any subscription going forward.

7. Intellectual property

The Service, its software, and its branding are owned by ChurchLingual and its licensors. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service per these Terms. Your own content and church terms remain yours.

8. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING ACCURACY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not warrant that translations are accurate or that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ChurchLingual will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any loss arising from translation errors or service interruptions. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

10. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time; the "Last updated" date reflects the latest version. Continued use of the Service after changes means you accept them.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which ChurchLingual is organized, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules.
